The winners from the TMH Spelling Bee will be selected to represent TMH at the Inter-Islamic School Spelling Bee Finals on January 26, 2023 hosted at Olive Grove School in Mississauga.

The word list for the TMH Spelling Bee and the Inter-Islamic School Bee for each division can be accessed in the link below:

2023 Spelling Bee Word Study List

The TMH Spelling Bee and the Inter-Islamic School Bee will be divided into the following divisions:

a. Grade 1: Ages 6

b. Grades 2 - 3: Ages 7 - 8

c. Grades 4 - 5: Ages 9 - 10

d. Grades 6 - 8: Ages 11 - 13

Children must study the words from the beginning of their division. During the competition once word lists are exhausted from each grade level the judge will choose words from the next higher level. Students are encouraged to learn as many levels as they can.

For example, if your child is in grade seven, they should start studying words from grade six and then work their way up to grade eight.  Keep in mind if your child is in lower grades, ie, grade three, it is possible the competition will exceed their division and they are encouraged to study words in higher grades.

Before proceeding to registration you MUST READ and AGREE to all of the rules outlined below:
