Assalamualaikum Dear Parents,

TMH would like to invite your child(ren) to participate in our Science Fair scheduled to take place on Sunday March 8th 2020. Venue and further details will be sent on a later date but it will take place in the Eastend.

The deadline to register for the fair is January 6th.

The Science fair is divided into the following 3 themes based on the grade level of the student:

  1. Grade 2- 3 - Life Sciences - https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-fair-projects/project-ideas/list
  2. Grade 4-6 - Physical Science - https://www.education.com/science-fair/physical-science/
  3. Grade 7-8 - Technology   http://www.sciencekids.co.nz/projects/technology.html

Students will be judged per level for their Science Fair Project by 2 judges.

* If students want to opt out of judging but would still like to be part of the science fair, please let us know before registering your child.

More ideas can be found here: http://www.sciencebuddies.org/blog/2015/08/a-positive-science-fair-project-experience.php

Participants do not need to choose from the above given links and can come up with their own project idea.

However, they are expected to choose a topic that follows the theme assigned for their respective grade level and are to follow the Science Fair protocol using the Scientific Method for their project.

Students who have registered by the deadline will be sent more information on January 8th. Participants must submit the title, purpose and hypothesis of their project by January 15th and will be sent an approval email by January 20th.

Fee for registration is as follows:

  • $10/ participant

Please save the date and take this time to start thinking about your project. Please encourage your child(ren) to start working on their project well ahead of the deadlines to ensure they are able to conduct all their experiments and research in time.

Students will be working individually for this Science Fair.

JazakAllah Khair and looking forward to a successful event.
