The Gauss Contests are an opportunity for students to have fun and to develop their mathematical problem solving ability. Participating in this contest will give students exposure to the format and provide them with insight and
experience to participate in future high school contests (Pascal, Cayley, Fermat, Fryer, Galaois, Hypatia) until they reach the grade 12 Euclid Contest.
Students who successfully reach the top 25 percentile of the Euclid grade 12 contest will receive a scholarship when applying to the Math department of the University of Waterloo.
